Even when asking politely for some reason the stuff is very unfriendly. They also display things that are not for sale for some reason. And when I asked if they maybe know where an item that clearly said “don’t touch” is from I was rudely told to check myself. I don’t understand why people work in this job when they seem to hate customer interaction. Otherwise the clothes and selection are really nice but because of the service I will not come again.

I happened upon this store one evening wandering the streets of Rotterdam, I was initially drawn in due to the vibrant colors. The Vintage selection had me hooked, thank you so much for all the time and effort put in to this store!!

I used to like it better but the quality of items seems to have gone down and is random. Imo the owner is unfriendly and recently decided to disallow dogs, as it was explained to me that dogs had incidents due to the smell of second hand clothing, despite me and my dog coming by since small and never having any issues.

The shop were clean and tidy, the owner is accommodating and I find snubby at a times, as you enter the store you find a rack of items in SALE, as you go inside further, prices are getting higher, which is reasonable, but some are overprice in my opinion! It’s a 5 star, but I always give my self to be better , so the shop is, there are some things need to improve! I enjoy thrifting in here

I am not sure why the reviews are so poor, but I was bike shopping 2 days in a row and the staff was helpful, friendly, and offered valuable information on the item. I decided to think about it after I read the reviews, I wanted to check other bike shops, resale places mrktplaats and they still have the best price. I purchased the bike from another helpful sales person. It was an enjoyable experience and I’m happy to have my new aluminum frame bike.

I’m a seafarer, thrifting every Ports we visit, clean , staff are cheerful, service is 5 star, but men’s selection are too less compared to ladies, prices are reasonable but for some I think it’s overpriced as it is a charity store, it’s a 5 star, but you know I always give my self a room to be better and so are, I’m giving 4 star. Thank I had a lovely time.

Hit or miss. It’s the best second hand store in the city center, but the prices vary. Sometimes you find something reasonably priced and other times everything is expensive. Really depends on the day and your luck. I would recommend checking it out if you’re not able to get to one of the bigger thrift stores outside the center.

I find the prices very high when you compare it to the prices of new articles. For an example, they were selling an Ikea wall shelf for 7 euro when it’s in Ikea costs 13 euro only!!!! So, you buy a used shelf without one year guarantee and with missing nails for just 5 euros less!!! This is not second hand!!!

Another pricy item is the bicycles, they sell it much higher than it should be!!!!

By the way, it is not acceptable for people with disabilities, yes they have a nice entrance for wheel chairs, but they don’t have access to the basement or the second floor!!!

There are too many things need to be considered to make it a really second hand shop with some better social experience

Things are well arranged, the place is clean and the staff is friendly. But the furniture were not just second hand, but actually deeply scratched, half broken, missing pieces or just run down. Still the price was for a good second hand piece. I would not recommend to anyone for furniture.

A great place for finding second hand almost anything. It’s also a good place to browse, like going to a museum. I haven’t been there for a long time because of Covid. Prices seem to be a bit higher than when I was last there which somewhat reduces the point of the place.

This place has REALLY big choice of nice and stylish clothes… but the PRICES – incredible. Too high prices for second hand and even for new clothes (some of them) .
But anyway, they have a big choice of good and not expensive vintage shoes. (~30€)
They play amazing music inside.
I couldn’t afford anything from there, even a shopper. For example: simple white shopper – 20€, bad quality small wallet (actually good quality but terrible condition) – 14€.

Episode is a chain for secondhand / vintage stores that can be found. Overall this store was clean and easy to walk through. Prices were decent, but paying almost 18 euro for a slip that has seen better days, is a little much. I would recommend to have patience and time when visiting. Card only, no cash. They have a good selection of both men’s and women’s clothing, plus some fitting rooms. Best to bring your own bag.

We have browsed and shopped at this location for the last two years, spent at least a few hundred euros, not only that we have also given quite a bit of stuff back because we wanted to give back to the place that helped us out. Up until today the customer service we received at the shop but also by their pickup crew was amazing. Our experience with the current pick-up team was so disappointing, borderline gender inequal. My wife was told to shut up and was told she talked too much for trying to ask questions about their new policy for receiving items as their head mover was not interested in talking to my wife who is Dutch, whereas I speak minimal Dutch. Over the phone we were told we could not even return the furniture back despite the fact that we purchased them from there. We as a family are really disappointed with a volunteer talking down to those that wanted to give back to those that were helpful to us. A day before our move abroad, we were mistreated, and if this management of movers stays like this, I would not recommend this place to anyone. In a first world country like this, nobody deserves to be talked down to by anyone when everyone is and should be equal.

This is a sick store. They had a unique variety of clothing from various decades, including this one. I found and bought one of the coolest jumpers I’d ever seen in my life. It’s a black, magenta, and teal high neck piece with pink buttons on the side of the neck—truly late 80s into early 90s style. It is a really special find for €15. I highly recommend ReShare. What types of items can I find in vintage shops in Rotterdam?

Vintage shops in Rotterdam typically offer a wide range of items, including clothing, accessories, furniture, home decor, and collectibles. Each shop often specializes in different eras, so you can find pieces from the 1920s to the 1980s, catering to various styles and tastes.

How do I identify high-quality vintage items?

Identifying high-quality vintage items involves checking for craftsmanship and materials. Look for signs of durability such as stitching quality, the type of fabric used, and the condition of hardware in items like bags or jewelry. Additionally, understanding the brand and its history can provide insight into the item's value and authenticity.

Are vintage items more sustainable than new items?

Yes, vintage items are generally considered more sustainable compared to new products. Purchasing vintage helps reduce waste and decreases the demand for new manufacturing, which can be resource-intensive. By choosing to shop vintage, you contribute to a cycle of reuse and promote environmentally friendly practices.

How often do vintage shops in Rotterdam update their inventory?

Many vintage shops update their inventory frequently, often on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This ensures a constant flow of new finds for customers. However, this can vary based on the shop’s size and business model. Following their social media accounts can keep you informed about new arrivals and special events.

What should I expect in terms of pricing at vintage shops?

Pricing in vintage shops can vary widely depending on factors like the item's age, condition, and brand. Generally, prices can range from a few euros for small items to several hundred euros for designer pieces. It's advisable to compare prices at different stores to gauge the market value.

How can I determine the authenticity of vintage items?

To determine the authenticity of vintage items, it’s essential to research the brand and its identifying features. High-quality items often come with labels, tags, or markings that indicate authenticity. Additionally, familiarity with common reproductions can help you spot inauthentic pieces. Consulting knowledgeable shop staff can also provide valuable insights.

Can I return an item if it doesn't fit or I change my mind?

Return policies vary from shop to shop. Many vintage shops may have a no return or exchange policy due to the unique nature of their items. It’s important to check the specific shop's return policy before making a purchase. Always try on clothing when possible to minimize the chance of needing a return.

Are there specific neighborhoods in Rotterdam known for vintage shopping?

Yes, Rotterdam has several neighborhoods known for their vintage shops, with areas like Witte de Withstraat and Nieuwe Binnenweg featuring a variety of stores. These locations often host multiple vintage shops, antique dealers, and markets, making them ideal for a dedicated shopping experience.
